Fr. Vincent Bowes was born on December 25, 1920, in Jordan, New York to parents Edward and Sarah (nee Kelly) Bowes. He was clothed in the Carmelite habit on September 24, 1946; made his simple profession on September 25, 1947, was ordained to the priesthood June 3, 1961.

Father ministered at monasteries in Waverly, New York; Holy Hill in Hubertus, Wisconsin; and Brighton, Massachusetts and was later assigned to serve as chaplain for the Benedictine Sisters in Still River, Massachusetts.

Fr. Vincent died on April 19, 2009, and is buried at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury, Massachusetts.
