Holy Hill is a bustling community in Hubertus, just outside of Milwaukee. It is a destination for both locals and for people throughout the region.
For Catholics living in Hubertus and the surrounding area, Mary Help of Christians at Holy Hill is where they enrich their Catholic faithFriars hear confessions, offer catechetical events, and celebrate the Mass.
In addition, people travel to Holy Hill shrine to pray and attend events. The friars here host Days of Recollection, retreats, and other big events.

This community is on a 5-acre parcel amidst the busyness of Washington, D.C.:
Less than a mile from the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.
Three miles from the White House and one mile from Capitol Hill.
Adjacent to the Catholic University of America.
In addition, this monastery serves as the headquarters for the Institute of Carmelite Studies. The primary focus of the institute is ICS Publications, where Discalced Carmelites write, print, and sell books on the history and spirituality of Carmel, sharing the riches of the Carmelite tradition with English-language audiences.
Two friars who lived in this monastery were martyred in Spain in 1936. On October 28, 2007, Pope Benedict XVI beatified the martyrs :

Our community in Brighton is adjacent to Boston College. This monastery serves as our student house, as well as the headquarters for the Secular Order of the Discalced Carmelites (OCDS). Brighton is also our provincial tailor shop, where the habits for the friars are made.

The Discalced Carmelite community in Nairobi is a treasure. This community does all levels formation here as young men discern and enter our Order.
The large retreat house hosts groups throughout the year for Catholics in the region. Also at this monastery, we have a massive library on Carmelite history and spirituality that is used by the people throughout Africa.
In many ways, our Discalced Carmelite friars in Nairobi continue the monastic traditions. There is farming, caring for livestock, and hermitages on the far edges of the monastery.

The focus of the friars at this monastery is their work with and for the retreat center attached to it. Spiritual retreats are offered to individuals and groups on themes of Carmelite Spirituality and growth in the spiritual life. It is also the residence of the provincial-delegate for the region.
