FR. TIMOTHY (JOHN) PATRICK was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 26, 1923, he was son of the late Thomas E. and Margaret M. (Glaccum) McGough and preceded in death by his sisters Margaret Devine, Evelyn Bryant, and his brother Thomas. He is survived by his brother Joseph and sister-in-law Cass, his many nieces and nephews, friends, and the Discalced Carmelite Friars with whom he lived with and served for nearly 80 years. Hailing from Immaculate Conception Parish in Philadelphia, Fr. Tim was moved by the example of numerous seminarians, priests and religious who came from the families in his neighborhood. He asked his parents to join the Discalced Carmelite Friars and in September 1937-at the young age of 13-he took a train to Wisconsin to study at the Preparatory Seminary of Our Lady of Mount Carmel at Holy Hill. He made his novitiate at Holy Hill and his first profession of vows in Brookline, MA on August 15, 1943. Fr. Tim was ordained to the priesthood in Washington, DC on December 14, 1949. He served his Carmelite community in various capacities including Dean of Students, Vocation Director, Postulant Director and Sub prior. He was most especially beloved by patients and staff during his 22 years as a hospital chaplain, including almost 8 years as Director of the Pastoral Care Department at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elmira, NY. Since 1993, Fr. Tim served for 18 years at St. Florian Parish in West Milwaukee, WI including 15 years as associate pastor.
