Fr. Raymond Achuka Onsongo of the Immaculate Conception was born on May 5, 1978, in Kisii, Nyanza Province, Kenya to parents Zachary Peter and Cresentia Magoma Onsongo. He was clothed in the Carmelite habit on July 15, 2002; made his simple profession on July 16, 2003, was ordained to the priesthood May 15, 2009.

Father ministered in Kenya for his entire life. On August 4, 2015, returning from preaching a day of recollection, he was tragically killed in a car accident. Fr. Raymond was 37 years old and professed for 12 years.  He is buried at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Monastery, Kiserian, Kenya.
