Fr. Giles (George) Dzuban of the Sacred Heart was born on November 2, 1915 in Hecla, Pennsylvania to parents Andrew and Mary (nee Jancosek) Dzuban. He entered the Order on the Feast of the Assumption in 1938 and was given the name Giles of the Sacred Heart. He was professed on August 24, 1939 and ordained on May 18, 1944. Fr. Giles served the Province as Prior and Provincial Councilor. While a missionary in the Philippines, Fr. Giles served as Delegate Provincial (1957-60) and Pastor. From 1970-1995, he served the Province as Mission Procurator. At the time of his passing, Father was the oldest member of the Province by Profession and by age. Fr. Giles died on January 16, 2000 and is buried at the Carmelite Cemetery, Hubertus, Wisconsin.
