Story of a Soul - Catholic Classics

It is with great joy that we announce that St. Thérèse’s Story of a Soul will soon be reaching a wider audience! Ascension Press has partnered with ICS Publications, utilizing our full English translation of Story of a Soul to create their own version of the book in their Catholic Classics platform. This means a beautiful hardcover edition of the book with a new forward by Cardinal Anders Arborelius O.C.D. and a written introduction to each chapter by Anne-Elisabeth Giuliani (a member of the Carmelite Secular Institue Notre Dame de Vie) and Dominican priest, Fr. Jacob Bertrand Janczyk O.P.

Perhaps the most novel aspect of this edition is that a 30-episode podcast will accompany the reading to help you follow along with the book by listening to the whole text of Story of a Soul, as well as a commentary on how to apply it to your life. As part of the podcast, a novena will begin on Sunday the 22nd to prepare for the Feast of St. Thérèse.

A young woman with a French background has been commissioned to read the text which will constitute about half of each episode, the other half being commentary and application of the work by Fr. Jacob Bertrand Janczyk O.P. and our own Fr. Michael-Joseph of St. Thérèse OCD.

Visit Ascension’s Catholic Classics page to sign up to receive the reading plan and to learn more about how you can participate in this exciting development of Carmelite spirituality in the United States.

Fr. Michael-Joseph of St Thérèse, O.C.D.
