Br. John-Teresa entered the Discalced Carmelites in 2018 and is currently living at Holy Hill, Wisconsin, while completing the Carmelite Studies (post-novitiate) year.

Father Kevin Culligan, O.C.D., is a psychologist and writer. As a Carmelite friar for fifty years, Father has served our order in various capacities in education, formation, and administration. He has lectured and offered seminars and retreats on Carmelite themes both in this country and abroad. Fr. Kevin is currently a member of the community of Discalced Carmelite friars at Holy Hill, WI.

Fr. John obtained a doctoral degree in worship and sacramental theology from the Institut Catholique in 1973. He served two terms as provincial from 2008 to 2014 and is currently the chair of the Institute of Carmelite Studies. Fr. John resides in our monastery in Washington, DC.

Fr. Pier Giorgio became a Discalced Carmelite friar for the Washington Province in 2014. He was solemnly professed in 2020 and ordained a priest in July 2021. He is the managing editor for the Institute of Carmelite Studies Publications. He completed his master’s in sacred theology in 2019 at the Catholic University of America and is currently pursuing a master's degree in comparative literature and translation at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Br. Emmanuel is a brother in temporary vows currently living at our monastery in Brighton, MA. He entered the Discalced Carmelites in 2017. Currently, he is working on finishing a graduate degree in theology with an interest in the life and writings of St. John Henry Newman.

Fr. Kieran was the English translator of the writings of St. Teresa of Avila and St. John of the Cross. He was distinguished as a prolific writer, speaker, retreat master and spiritual director. At 90 years old, he passed away on the Feast of the Presentation, February 2, 2019.
