Fr. Daniel of the Good Shepherd (Chowning) has been a Discalced Carmelite for over forty years. He has served in many capacities in the Washington province, especially as novice master/formator and superior. Between 2015-2021 he served the Order in Rome as a general definitor, guiding and visiting the Carmelites of the English and French speaking world. He has recently been named postulant director and resides in our monastery of Holy Hill, Wisconsin.

Br. Isaiah entered the Discalced Carmelites in 2018. He is currently living in the Monastery of the Espousal of Mary and Joseph in Brighton, MA and is studying theology at Saint John's Seminary.

Br. John-Teresa entered the Discalced Carmelites in 2018 and is currently living at Holy Hill, Wisconsin, while completing the Carmelite Studies (post-novitiate) year.

Father Kevin Culligan, O.C.D., is a psychologist and writer. As a Carmelite friar for fifty years, Father has served our order in various capacities in education, formation, and administration. He has lectured and offered seminars and retreats on Carmelite themes both in this country and abroad. Fr. Kevin is currently a member of the community of Discalced Carmelite friars at Holy Hill, WI.

Fr. John obtained a doctoral degree in worship and sacramental theology from the Institut Catholique in 1973. He served two terms as provincial from 2008 to 2014 and is currently the chair of the Institute of Carmelite Studies. Fr. John resides in our monastery in Washington, DC.
